A Tribute to One of Our Own – #thebasicest

 In CrossFit, Daily Workout

One of the most endearing traits of CrossFit is its community.  Like a brotherhood, those “in the know” share a

common bond – the love of fitness and the joy from doing it with friends.  Our community has come together in the last week – not just locally, but worldwide – to bring awareness to a subject not often spoken of in the gym – suicide.

Last week, one of our one was lost.  Becky Sefscik was not only a staple in the Cincinnati/Dayton/Northern KY CrossFit circle, she inspired women all over.  While we still cannot wrap our heads around why, we can honor her spirit and the impact she had on our community.

Wednesday, September 9, all classes (including bootcamp) will be performing “Becky.”  Becky designed this workout a year ago, and it had her members at CrossFit The Tracks yelling “Why Becky? Why?”  After all the classes suffered through, Becky went on and crushed the workout, as we knew she would.

Join with us as we pay tribute to one of our own.
