The Season of Giving – DSC Row Raiser 2016

 In Event
Over 80 participants came out to row to support House of Bread.

Over 80 participants rowed in support of House of Bread.

The Tuesday before Thanksgiving, we had a crowd of nearly 100 people gather for a different kind of fundraiser – a 10,000 m row.  For the second year in a row, we partnered with the Dayton House of Bread to take donations in exchange for an 8K or 10K partner row.

Thanks to the McAfee Sports Center for allowing us to set up on the basketball courts, accommodating more than 40 Concept 2 rowers, and more than 80 participants.  We had athletes from all over the Dayton and Cincinnati area, of all shapes, sizes and ages.

Together with the House of Bread, we donated nearly three trucks-full of goods, including winter items, pantry goods, household and cleaning supplies, hygiene and children’s items.  If you’d like to donate to the House of Bread this holiday season, you can access their current wish list here.
