Try out a class for free. This allows you the opportunity to experience our community and gym atmosphere firsthand to ensure it’s a good fit for you. We want you to be confident our abilities and services are what you’re looking for, and we’re sure we have a membership option to fit your needs.
Step 2 – Start Package Option
Once you decide DSC is a good fit for you, we recommend the Starter Package as the next step. Our Starter Package goes beyond the typical OnRamp structure in that each sessions is designed specifically for you as an individual athlete. We create these sessions to focus on the typical movements as we include in our classes, but also take into consideration your current level of fitness and exposure to these movements.
The first session of the Start Package involves an assessment and movement screen. Your coach will use this time to evaluate your mobility and movement through a few basic screens to determine any areas that may need specific attention beyond what we would address in our classes. Your coach will be able to advise you on what they think your limitations may be, as well as provide you with some basic protocols to address those limitations.
The following sessions will then be designed to cover the movements you will most likely see in class, and structured in a way that is appropriate for your level of fitness. These sessions will progress at a pace that is comfortable for you, and we encourage questions so that you feel confident in your progress each time you’re in the gym.
Strength and Conditioning
Our strength and conditioning class is designed to improve your all-around general physical preparedness with progressive, focused programming. Our goal is to produce well rounded athletes who are familiar with many strength, speed, and power movements and offer classes to meet the needs of anyone interested in functional training, whether it be for their job or to improve their overall lifestyle. We incorporate barbell movements of varying complexity – pressing, pulling, squatting – as well as introductory gymnastic movements, all while building a strong aerobic engine with the use of multi-modal workouts that hit the full range of energy systems.
GRIT sessions will utilize challenges, tests, teamwork, penalties and rewards, uncertainty and sometimes unfairness, all with the goal of teaching the athlete to pay attention and do things the hard way. Skills and habits developed in GRIT classes will carry beyond that day’s training and benefit the athlete in weekly classes and outside the four walls of the gym.
The best group training programs can only take you so far before something more specialized is required for continued progress. We are big believers that the best route to achieve your specific goals lies in an individual program designed for you. What sets DSC apart from other fitness facilities is our dedication to providing the finest programming available, fine tuned to the needs of the individual. All of our coaches have received specialty certifications that have given them the knowledge and skills needed to work one on one with you to help you become the best version of yourself. From initial consultation and assessment, to testing and program design, to continued modifications, your coach will ensure that your program puts you in the best position possible to achieve your personal goals.
Our Plus memberships allow you add additional personalized programming to your membership each week. These sessions are programmed by your paired coach and are designed to hit any weaknesses or areas you want to improve on. This is a great way to combine the benefits of a group class structure along with our program design option.
